Abidjan, June 3, 2024. The 2024 Annual General Assembly of AADFI, which was held from May 26-28, 2024, at the KICC Kenya on the sidelines of the AfDB Annual Meetings, was concluded on a high note with far-reaching decisions to position African DFIs for ease of access to green and development finance. The AADFI activities at the Annual Meetings started with the Board of Directors meetings on May 26, followed by the Meeting of the AADFI Working Group on Climate Change. On May 27, 2024, the traditional Annual Workshop was held on the theme “A Practical Road Map for African DFIs in Accessing Green Funds” with the General Assembly. The AADFI activities concluded with an advocacy engagement with the Kenyan authorities and a Luncheon & Award event to honor institutions for excellence. The AADFI Annual General Assembly was supported by the AfDB, with Kenya Development Corporation (KDC), Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC), and Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) as hosts.
