AADFI Strengthens Ties with La Banque Agricole (LBA) of Senegal

Mr. Cyril Okoye, AADFI Secretary-General, accompanied by Mr. Yacouba Konaté, AADFI Program Coordinator, held a consultative meeting with La Banque Agricole (LBA) of Senegal in Dakar.

The AADFI delegation held discussions with LBA officials comprising Mr. Cheikh Ndiaye, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Operations and Business Development, Mr. Oumar Cissé, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Support Functions, and Mr. Abdou Aziz Diedhiou, Head of the Studies and Strategy Department and Green Climate Fund Focal Point, as well as Mr. Aliou Sane, Head of Security and Equipment.

The visit formed part of AADFI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement with its member institutions and promote greater participation in the Association’s initiatives.

Representatives of LBA reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to AADFI and expressed their intention to play a more active role in the Association’s programs and events. They also highlighted the importance of peer-to-peer knowledge exchange among DFIs.

AADFI welcomes the renewed momentum in its relationship with LBA of Senegal and looks forward to deeper collaboration in support of sustainable development and knowledge sharing among Africa’s development finance institutions.
