Objectives

We are pleased to invite your officials and the Focal Person for the Prudential Standards, Guidelines, and Rating System (PSGRS) in your institution to the technical workshop on the PSGRS Methodology and Implementation, which will hold ONLINE on April 22 to 24, 2024, from 08:30 am to 12:00 am GMT each day.

The technical session aims to build capacity in the PSGRS tool and its implementation process. It is also aimed towards enhancing the PSGRS self-assessment process in participating institutions. The session will provide a platform for the participants to share their institutions’ experiences on the PSGRS and harmonize their understanding and interpretation of the mechanism under the coaching of the Consultant for the PSGRS Peer Review.

Furthermore, the session will :
a- Present the reforms introduced in the PSGRS self-assessment process aimed at enhancing the PSGRS quality- the context, objectives, and techniques established by the reform of the PSGRS implementation processes;
b- Appreciate the guidelines for the implementation of the self-assessment exercise;
c- Coach participants on the understanding and use of these tools;
d- Ensure that each DFI complied with designating an appropriate person as a focal person;
e- Respond to any concerns  by institutions on the PSGRS  and its self-assessment process; and
f- Receive suggestions to improve further the implementation of the PSGRS and the self-assessment process;
g- Discuss the 2023 PSGRS compliance and Rating results outcome and recommendation for 2024 exercise,
h-Prepare institutions for participation in the 2023 PSGRS self-assessment and rating exercise.
