AADFI participated in the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM) at the GEXIM@10 International Conference, held from March 25 to 26, 2026, in Accra, Ghana.

Represented by its Secretary-General, Cyril A. Okoye, AADFI contributed to high-level panel discussions on the evolving roles of export-import banks and development finance institutions in advancing industrialization, trade competitiveness, and economic transformation across Africa. In his intervention, the Secretary-General highlighted GEXIM’s institutional journey, underscored the importance of resilient and sustainability-oriented DFIs, and emphasized the need for stronger collaboration and peer learning among African DFIs – particularly in the context of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and shifting global trade dynamics. AADFI’s participation further strengthened institutional ties with GEXIM, reinforced the Association’s strategic engagement with members and partners, and reaffirmed AADFI’s role as a continental platform for advancing Africa’s development finance agenda.
