Project Strengthens Angola’s Agro-Industrial Sector, Promotes Import Substitution and Supports the Economic Development of Luanda Province
The Development Bank of Angola (BDA), through the Deutsche Bank Credit Line, has recently signed an Individual loan agreement to finance a Soybean Extrusion Industrial Complex promoted by EveryWhere, Limitada, located in Luanda Province.
With a loan of EUR 72,163,500.00, covered by SACE, the project represents a strategic investment in the development of Angola’s agro-industrial sector, contributing to the strengthening the agricultural value chains, economic diversification, and the expansion of the country’s productive capacity.
The industrial complex will produce refined soybean oil and other soybean-derived products for the food industry and animal feed sector, increasing the domestic availability of essential products while helping to reduce Angola’s dependence on imports.
Developed on an area of approximately 9 hectares, the industrial complex will have a capacity of crashing 2500 tons per day (TPD) of soybeans and 1200 tons per day (TPD) of sunflower seed, designed in accordance with internationally recognised standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Its production capacity will enable it to meet domestic demand while creating opportunities to supply regional markets.
The project is expected to create 158 direct and permanent jobs, in addition to generating indirect employment throughout the value chain. It will also contribute to the development of national technical expertise, support the growth of Angola’s agro-industrial sector, and strengthen the country’s industrial capabilities.
By supporting this investment, BDA reaffirms its commitment to financing transformative projects that promote industrialisation, food security, import substitution, job creation, and the sustainable development of Angola’s economy.
