Abidjan, September 20, 2021 — The Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) is pleased to invite its member DFIs, particularly the national DFIs, to submit profiles of their projects that require support or partnership to be actualized. The required support could be financial or non-financial. This is part of the outcome of the engagement taken at the AADFI Regional DFIs Consultative Forum. The initiative also advances the AADFI’s effort to strengthen partnerships in project promotion among member DFIs. The information will be showcased on the AADFI Project Pipeline Portal on the AADFI website, and the projects’ needs will also be shared with key funding partners, including regional and multilateral development banks (MDBs), for support. The information provided should i. demonstrate concrete commitments in implementing projects related to the SDGs and the Paris Agreement; ii. be in line with the national development agendas of the country of the DFI, in addition to projects that support recovery from the Covid-19 crisis; and iii. be brief and indicate the (i) Project name, (ii) Description, (iii) Finance need, (iv) Other needs, (v) Remarks, (vi) Contact details of the project officer, and (vii) Consent to share the information on the AADFI Project Pipeline blog and among key funding partners.
