Contexte

Most DFIs invest in equity to provide developmental support and long-term growth capital that private enterprise requires to grow and become more efficient. Equity investment provides an avenue for SMEs and businesses to raise additional funding. Investing in equity requires proper appraisal in line with the investment policy of the investor institution to guarantee a maximum return on the investment.

This course provides an in-depth overview of the equity markets. The participants will learn about a variety of topics, which will help them become familiar with equity investments,  funds, valuation, and trade-offs of different investment strategies.

The workshop aims to build capacity on the key processes involved in equity investment and how to analyze investments /projects for equity commitment. The training will discuss the risks involved, exit, and diversification strategies.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
