This paper draws evidence from existing literature and secondary data on the gendered impacts of economic crises and policies. The analysis benefited greatly from the findings in four studies from a project led by the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) and supported by Canada\u2019s International Development Research Centre (IDRC):<\/p>\n\n\n\n
