{"id":12746,"date":"2025-06-19T20:38:59","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T20:38:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/adfi-ci.org\/?p=12746"},"modified":"2025-07-02T11:54:43","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T11:54:43","slug":"aadfi-announces-newly-elected-board-of-directors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adfi-ci.org\/fr\/aadfi-announces-newly-elected-board-of-directors\/","title":{"rendered":"AADFI Announces Newly Elected Board of Directors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">The Association of African Development Finance Institutions&nbsp;(AADFI) is pleased to announce the new composition of its Board of Directors following elections held during its 51<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on May&nbsp;26,&nbsp;2025, in Abidjan, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The election of Dr.&nbsp;Patricia Ojangole, Managing Director of the Uganda Development Bank&nbsp;(UDB)&nbsp;Ltd., as the new Chairperson follows the end of the tenure of Mr.&nbsp;Thabo Thamane as Chairman of AADFI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The newly elected Board Members are composed of the following chief executives and will ensure sustained strategic leadership in advancing the vision and mission of AADFI:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>BUREAU<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Chairperson<\/strong>: Dr.&nbsp;Patricia Ojangole \u2013 Managing Director, Uganda Development Bank Ltd. It was formed in 1975 as an international organization under the auspices of the African Development Bank&nbsp;(AfDB). The association aims to stimulate cooperation to promote and finance sustainable development in Africa and encourage economic integration. The AADFI currently has over 90 members, including subnational, national, regional, and multilateral development finance institutions in Africa and other continents engaged in development finance activities in Africa. It is a founding member of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions&nbsp;(WFDFI), which brings together AADFI and its counterparts, namely the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific&nbsp;(ADFIAP), the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions&nbsp;(ALIDE), the Association of Development Finance Institutions in Member Countries of the Islamic Development Bank&nbsp;(ADFIMI), and the European Long Term Investors Association&nbsp;(ELTI). AADFI is also a founding member of the Finance in Common (FiCS), a global coalition of over 530&nbsp;public development banks\/DFIs. The AADFI has an observer status with the World Bank Group.
