DESCRIPTION:Workshop on Information Management and Electronic Document and

 	\n English\n \n \n \n Virtua
l\n \n \n \n Overview For so many years the role of
the Chief Information Officer (CIO) or Head of IT within an organisation
has been focused on the Technology aspect of the Information Technology. O
ver time this has created a major value proposition challenge for the IT b
usiness unit as a shared service within an organisation. An IT department h
as become more of a cost centre than a strategic business unit that is act
ively involved in empowering an entity to successfully carry out its manda
tes. Moreover\, information explosion triggered by the further ICT develop
ments and proliferation of new computer technologies\, has created informa
tion chaos in organisations and further complicated the role of IT executi
ves. Besides increasing the rate of hard copy outputs\, generation of a wh
ole spectrum of information artefacts such as data\, electronic records\,
digital information (reports and dashboards) and any other informational c
ontent in different formats has exponentially increased.Understanding role
of EDRMS in information governance value chain is fundamental in assistin
g IT leadership to have visibility on their responsibility for ensuring th
e organisation’s information architectures to facilitate management of i
nformation assets are developed and implemented for the benefit of their o
rganisations. By focusing on information service delivery as opposed to tr
aditional attention to infrastructure\, an IT executive can be on a solid
path to provision their internal clients with targeted information to driv
e operational success and achieve strategic objectives. Shareholders and e
xternal stakeholders will also be able to access enriched information to m
ake informed decisions. This 3-day course is designed for CIOs and Heads of

DESCRIPTION:Climate Change Project Identification\, Appraisal &amp\; Financ
 ing (CCPIAF)\n\n December 1 – 5\, 2025\n English\n DBSA Training Cent
re in Midrand - South Africa\n\n\nOverview\nNowadays\, financial instituti
ons focus their portfolios on lending and direct their resource flow to pr
ojects and investments that prioritize climate change considerations. Proj
ects that incorporate climate change considerations demonstrate sustainabi
lity and are more likely to secure better funding and support. Such projec
ts align with established green project principles\, including climate cha
nge mitigation and adaptation\, natural resource conservation\, biodiversi
ty\, and pollution prevention and control.\nThe challenge for most lending
institutions in the region is a lack of competence skills in identifying
projects that meet the green project criteria\, as well as in appraising a
nd financing green projects. A dearth of bankable projects is a key factor
in the low investment in climate projects. The training will build capaci
ty to identify and appraise green projects through a climate change and su
stainability lens. Participants will be equipped with the skills to identi
fy potential risks and opportunities and ensure alignment with sustainabil
ity principles.\nProgramme Objectives\nAt the end of the programme\, parti
cipants will be able to:\n\n To improve knowledge in incorporating climat
e change consideration and sustainability in projects from design to imple
mentation.\n Learn how to identify projects that meet climate finance con

SUMMARY:Workshop on Managing Problem and Non-Performing Loans
DESCRIPTION:Workshop on Managing Problem and Non-Performing Loans \n

 				\n \n \n English\n \n \n
\n DBSA Training Center in Midrand - South Africa\n
\n \n Overview The growing inci
dence of problems and non-performing loans in financial institutions is on
e of the major challenges that have continued to confront financial instit
utions\, thereby limiting their ability to lend to micro\, small\, and med
ium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).  This situation has been exacerbated by di
sruptions in the economic environment\, including macroeconomic difficulti
es such as rising inflation and foreign exchange fluctuations\, as well as
increasing risks associated with climate change\, among others. In the co
ntext of these challenges\, financial institutions are expected to comply
with regulatory requirements concerning NPL. Both problem loans and NPLs a
re crucial for financial institutions asset quality and stability. These dy
namics require that financial institutions\, including Development Finance
Institutions\, scale up their operational capacity to address problem loa
ns and also acquire current strategies to manage NPLs to acceptable indust
ry levels. The objective of the workshop is to strengthen the capacity of p
articipants to manage problem loans and non-performing loans effectively.
Their skills in identifying the root causes of problem loans and NPLs will
be sharpened to enable early identification and management  of problem l
oans before they become non-performing. And to deal with NPLs to maximize
recovery and nurture redeemable NPLs to good health.Furthermore\, by the e
nd of the course\, the participants would be equipped to:Carry out a syste
matic assessment of clients’ loans for control purposes\,Propose options
to management on how to manage and recovery of NPLs\,Administer propertie
s acquired in the settlement of default\,Provide enlightened leadership in
planning and implementing payment arrears recovery.Develop workable strat
egies to rescue problem loans.Ensure their institution focuses on robust r
isk management practices to minimize NPLs.Ensure their institutions are
in alignment with their countries regulatory requirement for NPL managemen

The workshop will be interactive with the use of case studies\, exercises\
, presentations\, group work\, and role play.  Industry experts will faci
litate the workshop. Programme Administration The AADFI Directorate wil
l administer the workshop. The workshop is in-person. This is due to the hi
gh demand on participants’ attention and time\, both individually and in
groups\, which sometimes extends into late evenings. The in-person approa
ch also offers a more enriching learning experience and fosters a stronger
\, more inclusive connection among participants.A set of rules governs AAD
FI workshop activities to facilitate maximum learning and foster good rela
tions among participants\, instructors\, and the Workshop Directorate. Bel
ow are the relevant extracts of the rules for this workshop:Nomination of
a candidate is deemed to imply their readiness to comply with the advice o
f the instructors and the Workshop Directorate. Participants are therefore
expected to be cooperative. 			Cancelation Policy The programme fee pa
id is non-refundable in the event of non-attendance at the programme. Howe
ver\, it may be used for a future programme with an equivalent registratio
n fee to be held within the following year.Furthermore\, the fee paid will
not be refunded or used for future AADFI programmes if an institution of
a registered participant fails to notify AADFI in writing of withdrawal at
least 10 working days before the commencement of the programme.Nonetheles
s\, the nominating institution reserves the right to replace a registered
staff member with another staff member 10 working days before the start of
the training.AADFI takes measures to ensure that programmes announced are
not canceled. However\, under circumstances beyond its control\, AADFI re
serves the right to cancel or reschedule the dates of its programme. In su
ch circumstances\, registered participants will be communicated with accor
dingly. Hotel Accommodation Participants are responsible for their trav
el\, board &amp\; lodge\, and other personal expenses. Negotiation is ongo
ing with hotels\, and negotiated tariffs for board &amp\; lodge will be co
mmunicated to participants. Travel Documents and Arrangements Depending
on the participant’s status\, a visa and an international vaccination c
ertificate are required to enter South Africa. For participants from count
ries that require a visa to enter South Africa\, the necessary documents a
nd procedures for processing the entry visa will be provided when dispatch
ing the Acceptance Letter. Please note that the AADFI cannot directly procu
re a visa for any prospective applicant.  Therefore\, participants are ad
